How to Read the Ratings

Every badge on this page, decoded.

AAA
EN 17092 · Abrasion Class

The highest garment class. AAA certifies the fabric survives the longest slide times in the standard's abrasion test. AA and A rate lower. Every piece in this collection is AAA — there is no lower tier in the range.

CE L1 / L2
Impact Armor · EN 1621-1

Armor protects joints; fabric protects skin. Level 2 absorbs more impact energy than Level 1. Pockets fit D3O, SAS-TEC, and standard CE inserts. We recommend L2 for highway, L1 for city.

1L / 2L
Construction · Lining Type

Lined (2L) sews a separate aramid layer inside the shell — maximum coverage. Single-layer (1L) weaves aramid into the denim — lighter and cooler. Both certify AAA; the choice is climate, not safety class.

Collection FAQ

Before you pick a pair.

What's the difference between single-layer and lined Kevlar builds?

Lined builds have a separate aramid layer sewn inside the denim shell — maximum coverage, slightly warmer. Single-layer builds weave the aramid into the denim itself, so they wear lighter and cooler at a small coverage trade-off. Both carry AAA-class certification.

Does this gear come with armor?

It varies by product and is stated on every product page. Every piece has CE armor pockets, compatible with D3O, SAS-TEC, and standard CE inserts. We recommend Level 2 for highway riding, Level 1 for city.

What size should I order?

Every product page has a fit description and a body-measurement chart. Kevlar-lined builds sit closer through the body to keep armor pockets aligned. Outside the chart, most pieces are available custom made-to-order.

Is Kevlar denim actually as safe as leather?

AAA is the highest abrasion class under EN 17092 — the same class quality leather race gear certifies to. Abrasion resistance protects skin in a slide; impact protection comes from the CE armor you add to the pockets. Always pair with a helmet and proper gloves.
