A motorcycle jacket is the single most important piece of protective gear after your helmet. Our men's jackets are built around three principles: AAA-class certified abrasion resistance, CE-rated armor pockets at the shoulders, elbows, and back, and styling that wears as well off the bike as on it. Denim outer shells in heavyweight 12-14oz construction, Kevlar (aramid) lining at impact zones, and reinforced double-needle stitching at every structural seam. Whether you ride a cruiser, sportbike, or adventure tourer, the right jacket sits flush at speed, protects when it matters, and looks intentional standing still. What to Look For in a Motorcycle Jacket
The market is flooded with jackets that look like motorcycle gear without being motorcycle gear. The difference comes down to four things: certified abrasion resistance, armor compatibility, real construction, and fit for the riding position. Our jackets carry EN 17092 AAA-class certification — the highest abrasion class — tested at the equivalent of a 120 km/h slide on concrete. Armor pockets at shoulders, elbows, and back accept standard CE-rated inserts, with Level 1 standard and Level 2 available as an upgrade. Construction uses heavyweight denim or full-grain leather, YKK hardware, and reinforced seams at every stress point.
Choosing Between Denim, Leather, and Textile
Denim jackets are the most versatile — protective when properly Kevlar-lined and CE-certified, breathable enough for warm-weather riding, and the only style that genuinely works off the bike. Leather jackets carry the most traditional motorcycle authority and the highest abrasion ceiling, but they're heavier, hotter in summer, and need conditioning to maintain protection. Textile jackets handle weather variability best and pack in features like waterproofing and ventilation, at the cost of off-bike styling. For most everyday riders, a properly-built denim jacket is the right call. Read the full comparison guide before you decide.
Fit Matters as Much as Protection
A jacket that's loose at the collar at 60 mph becomes a wind scoop. A jacket that doesn't sit flush at the wrists exposes them in a slide. We cut our jackets longer in the back and sleeves than fashion equivalents — standing in them, you'll feel a bit of slack at the front; in the riding position (leaned forward, arms extended), the fit is correct. If you're between sizes, size up only if you plan to layer a hoodie underneath; otherwise order true to size. Detailed measurements are in the size guide.
Custom Made-to-Order Available
If standard sizing doesn't work — tall builds, big-and-tall, non-standard hip-to-waist ratios, or specific cut preferences — we build custom motorcycle jackets to your exact measurements. Custom MTO starts at $280 with a 3-4 week lead time. Includes any denim weight, color, cut, and armor configuration. Learn how the custom process works.
Pair your jacket with AAA-class motorcycle jeans for full-body protection, or browse our men's biker vests for layering options.
